ZAMBIA WINS THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS!

Yesterday Zambia’s Chipolopolo won the 2012 African Cup of Nations, Africa’s biggest football event, at the final in Libreville in Gabon. They played the top team of Ivory Coast, tipped to win the AfCon cup. Zambia though blew them away, with a penalty shootout.

Their win was dedicated to the Zambian football team who died in a plane crash in 1993, killing all 18 players just off the coast of Gabon.

Winning 19 years later could not have been a more fitting tribute. Congratulations Zambia!!!!
