World Tourism Day celebrated in Livingstone


Livingstone, 18 October 2011

Traditional outfits (Chitenges) and traditional food were plentiful at the Wasawange Lodge to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the World Tourism Day.

A large choice of traditional dishes were served (Photos Judith Chongo)

Around 50 guests, mostly from the tourism industry, tucked into Nshima, Chibwabwa (pumkin leaves mixed with pounded groundnuts and delicacies such as Trotters, Offals, Beans Fried Fish, Impwa and Sweet potato leaves ( Kalembula). Munkuyo (pounded maize mixed with pounded groundnuts and sweetened with sugar) was served for desert.
