From Devils Peak to the Devil’s Armchair

Two iconic destinations in Africa linked up earlier this week with Zambezi Airline’s inaugural flight from Livingstone direct to Cape Town.

Cape Town lies at the foot of Devils Peak, part of Table Mountain, whilst Livingstone offers a thrilling experience when the levels of the Zambezi are down: swimming in a natural whirlpool (known as the Devil’s Armchair) on the very edge of the Victoria Falls! (See an earlier post and photo ‘Swimming on the Edge of the Victoria Falls” on this blog under previous posts at the bottom of the right hand column – October 2010).

Zambezi Airlines operates a three times a week direct service on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Livingstone, Zambia, and leaving  from Cape Town on alternate days.

Zambezi Airlines lands in Cape Town

Zambezi Airlines operates three Boeing 737-500 aircraft. The flying time is 3 hours and ten minutes, and departing at 14.00 from Cape Town you arrive just in time for one of those unmatchable Zambezi sunsets!
